No. Hardware is purchased separately — sold and shipped on its own. Think of it like buying a kitchen appliance: you buy it once, it lasts for years. Label rolls are also purchased separately (~$0.01 per label).
Is there a free plan?
Yes — Starter is free to use forever with no trial needed. If you want more printers, analytics, and advanced features, Essentials ($49/mo) and Business ($99/mo) offer 60-day free trials with no credit card required.
How does annual billing work?
Annual plans are billed once per year and save ~17% vs monthly. Starter annual: $190/yr. Essentials annual: $470/yr. Business annual: $950/yr. You can switch from monthly to annual anytime.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel your Essentials or Business subscription at any time. Your data stays accessible for 30 days after cancellation.
What happens after the 60-day free trial?
If you are on Essentials or Business, you will need to add a payment method before day 60 to keep your account active. Starter stays free forever, no trial needed.
Do I need internet for Cheftag to work?
Yes. The Cheftag print controller connects to your network. Print requests are sent from cheftag.com to your printer over WiFi. Internet is required for all plans.
What is included in the hardware bundle?

Can I use my own thermal printer?
Currently Cheftag only supports the Bixolon SLP-DX220. This ensures reliability and consistent label quality. Contact us if you have a specific hardware need.
